Prepping ceramics for a group of kids to decorate this week. If all goes well, they’ll be auctioned off at an annual school fundraiser. If not, my nervous system is already jacked up because of US politics, so I guess I’ll have a panic attack and collapse into a heap of tears.

I woke up at 4 in the morning to rain outside my window. We haven’t seen real precipitation here since March. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. As careless as we are with her, this planet still does her best to function.

Ways I’ve taken care of myself this week:

- Talked on the phone instead of texting
- Met friends in person
- Attended live event for WAVE (Women for American Values and Ethics)
- Made art with my hands
- Kept the TV off
- Spent time outside every day
- Exercised
- Reminded myself to breathe
