Probably still going to try another retelling by Jennifer Saint, I think it was more the narration than the novel itself. Hard to separate the two!

I'm disappointed that the audio didn't work out for me, and I may return to Ariadne as an e-book in a few years.

Where does A Curious Beginning stand? I loved it! It's a murder mystery with a slow-burn romance subplot, very well balanced.

A sweet second chance romance. I really enjoy books set in the Second Industrial Revolution and appreciated the way it was emphasized in the story! 💙📚

Reading a long series really feels like making a close friend. I've been slowly working on the Virgil Flowers and Lucas Davenport series for about a year now, and picking up the next book is always a welcome experience.

Sometimes, if an audiobook isn't working for me but I think the book should be up my alley, I'll switch to reading with my eyes for the next book in a series, and I really enjoy it

That's exactly what happened with the Charles Lennox Mysteries

Going on a long flight in a few weeks. Forget flight anxiety, I'm already worrying about not having the "right" books downloaded on my ereader or audiobook app.

I'm going to have more available than I could possibly read, but I'm not going to be in the right mood for any of them 😆
