Had the audacity to think I could do a 200 km #audax on the recumbent trike. Well I did, but it’s a good job McDonalds in Galashiels is open longer than the official control closing time. A reminder that sometimes DNF stands for Did Not Fail.

Earned some home-brew cider by triking to Otley and back. 40 km is my longest ride on it so far, and bloody hilly it was too. Wearing shorts, t-shirt and sun cream 😮☀️

Farage and Truss tooling about in the US have been nicknamed 'the slug and lettuce', I am reliably informed.

A spring feel to this 50 km ride, featuring a trig point, an #audax library, and a prison cafe. Then spent some time feeding the finishers of the longer rides. Turns out 3 different types of soup is too much choice for some after 200 km.🤯

If the Kalettes aren’t a backing group I’m going to be disappointed.

Pootle along the canal/river to Leeds own stone circle (1997 CE). As I left some pagans were arriving to mark Imbolc. Sadly this is one of those cycle routes featuring flights of steps😡.

I never really got Twitter, but I must have found useful information or amusement there on occasion. Well, I can only hope that the World Bollard Association migrates over here, because after deleting my account I will really miss them.
