Hab mich schon gewundert, da in Australien der Termin für "3h kostenlosen Strom" schon feststeht. Das beginnt nächstes Jahr, ich glaube im Juli.

You can use both tenses. Since you have just started following me, and vice versa, I would use "ich folge dir".
