You had the opportunity to bring back the Plaguelands with reverence, to lean into the power of nostalgia, to remind us why we fell in love with Destiny in the first place. Instead, you took that trust and memory and discarded it, leaving players feeling mocked rather than celebrated.

And you desecrated it!

The Ash and Iron update does’t honor the Plaguelands, it guts them. Instead of rekindling memories for this community, you reduced them to ash in the most literal and figurative sense. The result is shallow and hollow. It should have been a love letter not a careless erasure.

The Plaguelands weren’t just another patrol zone, they were a cornerstone of Destiny’s history. That wasteland carried with it the memory of Rise of Iron, of fireteams braving the SIVA corruption, of community and challenge! It was a place soaked in nostalgia, a symbol of what Destiny once was.

I was looking forward to free roam the Plaguelands just to find out it’s the same thing they did when they brought back Titan ☹️
