Music (mostly vinyl, sometimes CDs) beer (usually craft) and LA Kings hockey. Let’s party…but only until about 10:30. SoCal based.
Is this a rainy day record? I’m not sure that it is, but it’s raining here in SoCal and it’s currently spinning.

After a few mellow spins to start the day, it’s time to ramp the energy up and get this Sunday Funday started.

Enjoying my favorite seasonal beer and a record for all seasons. My Saturday may be peaking too early.

Picked up a pretty clean original pressing of Fear of Music. Love the embossed jacket. Love the tunes.

A little Chimay Blue to accompany the afternoon football. It’s a classic. #Brewsky

Picked this up recently. Two great records in one convenient gatefold. This is a ‘73 pressing. Love this era of The Who.

I sometimes go far too long without spinning this one. Makes it that much sweeter when I do.

Still getting acquainted with this one. Lodger seems unique in that there are no discernible hit singles on it, which is rare for Bowie albums in this era.

Some Saturday morning spins before heading out for some girls U13 soccer

Couldn’t get a great picture of it, but nice SoCal sunset tonight.

One indie banger after another on this one.

This was really nowhere near my want list but I had to grab it. One of the best indie releases from the tail end of the aughts. It’s gonna get played a ton…

A beer and a Friday night spin of this recent pick up. I prefer the albums that came before this one but this is a fun listen nonetheless.

Another Roxy Music addition! This is a ‘74 US pressing of Stranded. Where does this fit in to everyone’s RM hierarchy? First without Eno, so maybe a bit of a transition album? I’m enjoying it…

I tend to stay in a “rock” focused lane way too much. While there’s still a ton of variety to explore within that fairly large framework, I need to branch out. Picked up this Stevie Wonder only really knowing Higher Ground, and digging it.

Sierra Nevada’s annual festbier collaboration is always some level of very good to great. This year is no different. Grab a sixer while you can. #brewsky

Monday morning spin. An album named after its two lead singles is extremely 1967. Very nice listen overall.

Most recent pick-up. I am generally not a completist by nature, but I can see myself owning all the Roxy Music studio albums at some point. This ‘73 US pressing of For Your Pleasure is my third from them. 5 to go…

If you are on the fence about picking up this reissue, get off the fence and do it. Nothing special about the sleeve/packaging but the pressing sounds great.

I guess I haven’t listened to this one in quite a while as it was still in its original inner sleeve. I have transferred pretty much everything to anti-static poly sleeves.

Curious. Is this anyone else’s favorite PJ Harvey record? Many to choose from but this one grabbed me and has been in constant rotation since it came out 15 or so years ago.

What’s everyone listening to tonight?? I’m kicking off my Friday night with some Bowie. This is an ‘83 reissue of Pinups. Pairing well with a Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA. Cheers.
