Totally agree, we’re told to remember he’s so young and keep our expectations and enthusiasm low but this isn’t normal, he’s defo something special.

This makes more sense. He is clearly not the man we wanted long run but may have been worth a low ball bid.

I completely get that, I do think if Arteta was convinced by Watkins he would have spent the money, but £60mil is a lot for someone you’re not 100% on, also a wedge out of summer business. We have to have faith they do big business next window. If they don’t then we should have huge issue.

I understand we’re all frustrated, we’d love to have seen one of our targets come in and I’m sure we tried.
I think unfortunately they just weren’t available this window, Arteta wasn’t prepared to settle for just anyone and we have to believe they will come in during the summer.
