I’m happy to report that the Meteghan River is flowing once again. The water has breeched the top of the dam. It was down as much as two feet below the top.

I’m happy to report that our pond is now full again. The water table is going to take a lot more rain however.

You have to have water flowing in a river in order for salmon to swim upstream.

The grand total, 30mm over the course of the weather event. More rain in one storm than we’ve had in total since May, though that’s not saying much. We are grateful, and just before Thanksgiving.

Raspberry Sauce
1 pint fresh picked raspberries
1 cup Chilean Malbec
1 tablespoon pure cane sugar
Rinse the fruit thoroughly and drain well. Add the raspberries and wine to a saucepan and mash with a potato masher, bring to a gentle boil.
