Came back to correct myself 😂 T Kingfisher released a third book in her sworn soldier series, not second. I don't think her writing is scary but her books are short and her descriptive language is really enjoyable so could be a good ease back into reading! 😋

His writing is really interesting though he is gore-ier. Grady Hendrix is popular for a reason, balances comedy and horror well, though he isnt my cup of tea. T Kingfisher just came out with a second book if you like series more than stand alone stories
