This is to give Republicans an out when deportation becomes untenable, but still allows them to create a permanent underclass to be exploited with low wages and little safety oversight through the constant threat of deportation.

It’s nice to see some pro-union movement after decades of centrism, but I’ve not had a party that appreciates my views since I started voting. I guess my point is that the power and money resides with the neocon dems, and I’m not sure how they can successfully be excluded. Sooner the better, though!

I agree that they are popular with the general public, but they are not within the structure of the big D Democratic party. Who is advocating for single-payer healthcare, or ending super PAC financing of elections? Best I’ve seen is a bill to stop them from coordinating together.

I get the point, but how can those people be excluded when they are the core of the opposition party? Without them, it’s us lonely “lefties” without a party because the US has an entrenched bi-party system.
