Look, I'm just looking for someone who will settle for my appearance (because I'm not attractive), someone who likes to hang out, and someone who understands the stuggles of the average person. That's literally it.

And then if they do say yes, it's like, on your first day, what expectations do they have of you? Do they want the world from you? Six figures, a house, and a car? An ultimate homebody to cook and clean and have sex with? To be doted on and have 15 babies and hold all the agency in the relationship?

And they can say so many things to get out or break your heart, even if it is true! No, I have a bf/gf, I don't swing that way, not interested, you're ugly. They can just flat out laugh at you! Why would you ever want to subject yourself to that??

You ask someone out and they say no and not only have you ruined your day but you also likely ruined theirs. Like, they were just existing and you just had to go and confront them with your feelings of romance towards them. Fucking. Gross.
