Last I checked there’s nothing stopping them from making all the NPCs say “I love Cheese Grommet” and farting into a mic for a sound effect place holder. Like kid me did that when doing game dev on UE3

I’m so far out of Magic until Lorwyn and then immediately out again that I genuinely am just not aware of UB stuff anymore. I used to play in RCQs and grind daily in arena, but I’ve moved on to Riftbound (which has a reasonable 4 sets a year) and Pokemon (where decks cost about the price of pauper)

I feel like you could easily skip those limited releases and put out a list that has the preface that you may not have seen everyone’s favorite film. Like I go to film fests, watch films nearly daily, etc and I have no clue what you’re talking about missing.

That plus in college being in an underground fighting game tournament scene in my hometown where we’d set up through an abandoned mall to play different fighting games from main line like Tekken, Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter to niche ones like Vampire Savior

I hit 324 and I feel slightly embarrassed though I mostly attribute this to being like the one 90s kid who still regularly attended arcades and grew up with a friend whose dad was super into retro game collecting (like having every system since the OG Atari with every edition of every console)
