The side of my family I see for holidays are all similarly aligned politically/socially. My Grandpa was a big union guy & we all value that. The other side is where the fights would be but we are midwestern so avoiding/ignoring is the tactic we take. Which is easy to miss as a kid, before Facebook

That is absolutely correct. They succeeded quickly at pulling the loadbearing systems that our country operated via and the basis of our global security.

By all accounts, Jesus was a pretty kind & peaceful guy. I don’t think there is a strong incongruity for how Jesus is liked as an adult to how he is liked as a baby. Any more than any other person, anyway. Babies are pretty cute.
