I'm constantly telling people they can't play games in "canonical order" or whatever like they can movies or TV shows because then you don't get to see the evolution of mechanics through entries properly and it always feels like a hard thing for people to grasp for some reason.

Yes. It is famously unpopular within the competitive gaming scene. That's entirely correct. The guy in the post is being a crazy hater but the statement "game nobody plays" is factual.

Really good way to articulate this. Me and my friends have talked about feeling a lot of guilt for taking time away from being caught up on the news but more and more I think it's 1000% necessary to keep your brain from burning out.

I was mainly on the other site to keep up with the FGC and now that thats gone I don't really know what the point is of even having social media. I know I'm "main character FGC retirement posting" rn but I don't think I realized how much of my life it was and how much work it was gonna be to let go

The amount of times an event that wasn't mine was running so i went and posted a few flyers around town and then noticeably more people showed up is crazy. It's really not that complicated.
