I feel like the enters tapped is the part that makes authority strong, not the life gain, but if the life gain is what's giving you problems maybe the next time you see it, it's on you to convince the table to chip in on the authority player.

I'd say that AotC is the least of your worries considering that there are at least 4 cards with the enters tapped rules text.

Or perhaps a "I hope you get some the day after because you both ate too much chocolate Cherry cake" day.

Ah, see what I do is play about an hour of my "free to play" game of choice, which is my daily amount of gaming unless it is my day off, then I play that same game for roughly 5 hours, then I browse my steam library and see if any of my unplayed games spark joy. Then the cycle begins anew 🎑
