Stripped screws can be a real pain. Good luck!

Makes sense to me.

Bladerunner became a classic-classic, but if it hadn't it would surely have become a cult classic. And again, the detail is extraordinary! The idea that for futuristic parking meters they'd put new heads on the old poles was brilliant--and turned out to be accurate!

Correct—my apologies for not updating. We figured it out in another thread, and I forgot I’d asked her as well.

The key was realizing the crossing “street” is actually a railroad.

I like the new look of the newsletter!

Oh, and the smaller "road" is actually a railroad, which is why I was having trouble finding it. The structure with the red roof is presumably something associated with the railroad.

I think I found it! It's close to the intersection you found, but a bit north:
48.251694, 37.205321

It has the little house/structure with the red roof at the strange angle to the main road.

Thanks, folks!

I don't think so. At that junction the M30, which is the main road, curves. In the video, there's a curve off in the distance, but the main road is perfectly straight through the junction.
November 15, 2025 at 1:20 PM
I looked at that, but it doesn't match. At the location you found, the main road curves, and the structures would be on the left from this POV, not the right.

Anyone have a geolocation for this? I've searched the E50 road from Selydove to Pokrovsk, and I don't see an intersection quite like this.

He'll use this as an excuse to try to avoid releasing anything, because there's "an ongoing investigation."

That occurred to me to. I don't know Russian, so I can't judge by the accent. The sentiment doesn't tell us anything, since there are some Ukrainians who welcomed the occupiers.

Jamie Dettmer, the author of this opinion piece, has been consistently critical of Zelensky and pessimistic about Ukraine's chance to prevail. For example: www.politico.eu/article/why-...

It doesn't mean he's wrong this time, but it does provide context for his opinion piece.
Ukraine is heading for defeat
The West’s failure to send weapons to Kyiv is putting Putin on course for victory.

Ukrainian drones fall into Russian hands all the time--if they're shot down, fail to detonate, are fooled by EM, etc.. Exporting finished drones wouldn't add to that problem.

I disagree with this logic.

The first successful exact scientific earthquake prediction will be some weird edge case; it wouldn't mean all earthquakes were predictable.

I got to see this in a theater! Excellent film; well worth the theatrical experience.

Also, these are not "arms deliveries to Ukraine." They might be ultimately destined for Ukraine, but we don't know that one way or the other.

From the article: "The ultimate destination of the exports is not clear, but arms sales to NATO allies are often transferred to assist Ukraine."
November 9, 2025 at 5:24 PM
It doesn't.

"Senior judge" is a different position than a regular, active judge. Having this kind of semi-retired status actually acts as an incentive for judges not to stay in their regular position, which seems to be what you are asking for.

It could be. But it could also be the reduced cognitive load of not changing the configuration of the hand. Most people play by effectively making the rock gesture one, two, or three times (to get the players' hands in sync) and then making their actual play. Rock requires less actual thought.

This makes no sense. They say being as random and unpredictable as possible is the best strategy.

But if most people overplay rock, than clearly overplaying paper is superior to equal-chance randomness.

And if people tend not to repeat, then its best not to play the counter to the last play.

I Googled it, and got four hits from before the last two days, all from X. Three are from people in the UK, and one from an American.

I am American, and follow politics pretty closely, and have never heard the phrase "anti-bedtime left."
