The Senate bill raises the deficit by more than $3 trillion to give tax cuts to the richest people in America. The idea that the difference between slashing $400 billion & $500 billion in job-creating clean energy incentives creates sincere concerns for “Republican fiscal hawks” is beyond laughable.

The bazooka aimed at wind and solar will massively decrease investment in fastest-to-build sources of new electricity at a time of massive load growth. Anyone who thinks nuclear or geothermal or even natural gas can fill the gap is delusional.

NABTU bringing the 🔥 on how devastating new Senate bill would be:
“This stands to be the biggest job-killing bill in the history of the country.”
Union job losses “equivalent of terminating over 1,000 Keystone XL”s
1.75 million construction jobs, 3 BILLION work hours in clean energy kaput

Happy Monday. Here is your daily reminder that Senate Republicans are poised to raise your electricity bills $100+ by killing effective incentives for building clean energy (the fastest-to-market source of new electrons) at a time of load growth. Give them a call and tell them to, y'know, not.

3) At least SIXTY THOUSAND new, affordable, energy-efficient homes may not be built, and developers in Texas are already facing higher financing costs because of the illegal hold on GGRF funds:

Meanwhile, real people are suffering. Here are just three examples from the 72 hours:
1) In upstate New York, a local credit union cannot offer financing to retirees who want to save money on their energy bills by installing solar and storage: spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-...

Home electricity prices continue rising faster than inflation. This is your daily reminder that Congressional Republicans are poised to make this way worse by repealing incentives for building new clean, affordable energy. Your bills could be $110 higher as soon as next year if they get their way.

RFK site is also almost uniquely bad for car traffic, with only the 3-lane East Capitol bridge leading into a series of confusing access roads, while Stadium-Armory is *right there*, with multiple lines that 1) go deep into the suburbs and 2) have park-and-ride stations in said suburbs
