What does that say about the anti Trump voters? Are we driven by safety or the toys we have accumulated? Why dont our passions unleash much of anything?

So….is the current value of all taxi, uber, Waymo, etc anywhere close to that valuation?
Is the idea that we no longer own or drive autos and that they are the Swiss knives of robotics being gourmet cooks, cleaners, and sexbots?

I would argue that for different good reasons, liberals have sought to tear down the conservative structures that form the basis of tradition. And when a “conservative” like Trump betrays those traditions it is just another example of how left is right and up is down in or new world politics.

Yes, but many times there is no clear good and bad. What happened in Gaza was horrible, but it was a response to horrible crimes committed by the government of Gaza. And to somehow see only through the lens of Gazans is what takes the party to places many don’t want to go.

The Ds of my youth promoted the ideals of fairness and equality. The far left pulled it to 1984 - all are equal, but some (for perhaps a myriad of valid reasons) are more equal than others.

Well, I guess I should put my $$ where my 👄 is. Both are great I just felt like the last one never affected Trump. So, if that is the intention, later is better.

Only liberal media/podcasts follow that lead. It is quasi intellectual, verbose, and self important. I like it because I was raised on. NPR, but my kids are bored and won’t engage.

People want entertainment mixed with news. I listened to PSA postmortem and was struck by the NPR-esque discussion. Whereas Fox or any RW shows are angry, edgy, sometimes funny and often disturbing. Speak at a 5th grade level. And unashamed of their shamelessness.

Question: Should we just start calling them shots? I never got a flu vax before and the Covid vax is similar in the need for annual updates. Aren’t all the other type shots (aka tetanus) a shot?

The thing is, Bluesky still feels like reading the World News section of NYT. I feel good about doing it, but it’s nothing I look forward to.

Maybe. Ds don’t have great mechanisms for broadcasting and repeating a message. But mostly I’m saying that Trump has since 2007ish taken all of the oxygen from the room. Both sides follow him and report on him, whomever was pres. when he goes, I’m not sure there is anyone in the wings.

Non of those voices matter in a Trumpless world. He is a generational “talent” that a similar talent on the Dems could match. But we put up Biden, who has many strengths but charisma and the ability to market are clearly weaknesses. Kamala had no time and wouldn’t break with Biden.
