My friend Alan Travis and myself were the paint & rotoscope supervisors for ILM’s San Francisco studio on the new Star Wars television show Skeleton Crew. We spent a lot of quality time working with Neel, seen here on display at Lucasfilm headquarters here in SF.

This series is based on a story cooked up by @iambabydaddy.bsky.social and myself. Fans of dystopian mystery/horror tales should definitely give it a whirl.

I was going through some old boxes and I ran across this ad from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom that I cut out of the San Francisco Chronicle back in 1984 and added some custom colors to. The ads on the reverse side further go to show what a great year that was for movies.

A throwback to 2005 when I got to be a Naboo Guard in a bluescreen shoot for Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

Going to the movies with this guy is no picnic.

A flashback to 1999: the first film I ever worked on at ILM was Galaxy Quest, and VFX supervisor Bill George asked me to come up with new call letters for the Protector spaceship.
What began as "STD" became
"NTE" ... which stands for "Not The Enterprise."
