Alhaitham has never been religious, but from the moment he got in the car he's been praying to dear god not to let them die. By the time they reach their destination, Alhaitham's hands are sweaty and his heart is pounding. But Kaveh cheerily hops out of the car, none the wiser.

His stomach drops when they wheel around the bends with sickening speed. He inhales sharply when Kaveh puts his foot on the pedal to get the green light, and he has to look away when Kaveh barely breaks in time for a red one.

Kaveh is hunched up over the steering wheel, peering forward with the air of a grandma trying to read small writing.
Alhaitham's heart jumps whenever Kaveh changes lanes, he jerks the steering wheel and the car lurches across the road
