"Hey. I'm Hyunjin," the man greets him with a soft smile. "I'm here to install your light." "Right!" Jisung bows to him quickly, maybe a little too deeply. "I'm Han Jisung. But you can call me Jisung." Well, yes. That is how given names work, Jisung. Obviously. "Nice to meet you," Hyunjin replies. They stand there for a few awkward seconds before Hyunjin says, "Can you show me the light?" "Right!" Jisung repeats. "It's in the kitchen. Come in." Hyunjin steps into their house, and once the man's back is to him, Jisung takes a comically deep breath. He resists the urge to say right again, and leads the way into the kitchen. Naturally, the first thing he does is flip the light switch on despite there being no light in the kitchen. Right. He doesn't say anything. Hyunjin either doesn't notice or is too polite to laugh at him. "So," Jisung awkwardly gestures to the ceiling, ladder still conveniently placed under the fixture. Hyunjin drops his toolbox next to the ladder, then pulls out a headband with a flashlight attached to it. He turns it on, then steps up the ladder to get a closer look. Nobody says anything for a while, but Jisung feels awkward in most silences, so he babbles, "I took the old one off myself. I thought I was going to be able to install the new one myself too, but, uh…It wasn't as easy as the videos online make it look." Hyunjin laughs. The way his eyes curve when he smiles is devastating. "Yeah, it's more complicated than you would expect," he says with a nod. He doesn't even spare Jisung a glance, which is a relief more than anything, because Jisung fears he would pass out.

Changbin keeps Chan's head on straight. Chan isn't sure exactly what he offers Changbin, only that the doctor doesn't smile and joke with his other patients.

artist hyunjin is having horrendous creative block, so decides to take a break and spend some time in a small beach town in aus to hopefully clear his head somewhere new. he arrives way before check in time, so heads to the beach at dawn to sketch - but he's not the only one there that early (1/4)

"Yes…?" he answers, because somehow, Hyunjin can't believe he'd be asking him beyond a platonic level. But Seungmin adds, "More than a friend?" Seungmin is smart. Hyunjin knows the silence that stretches on after the question is an answer in itself, so there's no point in lying about it. He doesn't want to lie, anyway. "Yes," he admits, then adds, "Sort of. I used to a lot. It's different now." It is different, but it's not less. He doesn't know how to say that like doesn't begin to cover it. He doesn't think it ever has. Seungmin just stares at him. "Wow," he says eventually. It stings a little, but Hyunjin knows Seungmin well enough to know he doesn't mean any harm by it. "I had no idea." Obviously, Hyunjin wants to say. "I figured," is what he says instead. OR: the gut-wrenching account of five years of loving kim seungmin (based on a true story)
