No actually, I don’t think it’s comparable trauma that middle school boys used to call you anorexic or other mean shit, & fat people die or suffer from illness all the time because doctors won’t treat/listen to people they don’t find fuckable. People being shitty to you is not the same as oppression

Like, both this year and last year we had the same two dear friends come over, and all we did is lounge in my room and yap. We each drank a solitary scant glass of moscato and fought for our lives to stay awake (Val fell asleep by 11:15), and then they left by 12:05 😂

Good people will not reject you for being honest about your interests or needs, and you will thank yourself for it later.

It is both a trauma response, and a self centered disingenuous thing to do. You can either be honest with people because they deserve it as much as you deserve authenticity, or you can keep lying & slowly built hate towards everyone around you to maintain one dimensional, fake likability.
