Using 19-20 year olds to take the down the government is brilliant and diabolical. They can pull multiple all nighters in a row and have poor abilities to think long term and assess risk, and probably think this whole thing is a game with few to no consequences to themselves.

“It’s not masking & vaccine mandates. It’s the fact that you don’t get food poisoning when you walk into a restaurant, the water coming out of your tap isn’t filled with lead, your building tiles aren’t filled with asbestos, you don’t have to deal with polio or other childhood infectious diseases.”
What to Expect From Trump’s Next Term: More E. Coli and Fewer Vaccines; it's unclear public health agencies would be able to respond to outbreaks or food issues quickly if the new administration does what it said. newrepublic.com/article/1882...

How to tell me you didn’t read my latest paper without actually saying it: offer to sell me a piece of 30,000$ equipment when the whole point of the paper was that we could do it on a budget of 1$K.

Well done Allegheny county! First female county executive Sara Innamorato and we preserved a Democratic majority for the county board of elections. Votes in the city of Pittsburgh won’t be “disqualified”for PA 2024 elections!

Currently reading Jonathan strange and Mr norrell for the first time. It is hilarious but requires more effort than I have brains left on days when I am grading exams.
