Let’s put things in perspective: Microsoft *global* h20 use is 1.7B (not 17) gal per year. Total US freshwater withdrawals is ~250B gal per day. Half of that is for cooling thermal power generation (coal, nuclear, etc). MS still needs to improve, obvy, but so does everyone else. From USGS:
