It was a very good analysis that evidently was taken back down by the airline Captain who originally posted it. No need for you to be so rude about it, you could have just politely let me know that the video was no longer available.

I know at George AFB 1982-1986 and Ramstein 1983-86, the version in use was the AIM-9P-3 which looked pretty much identical to the AIM-9J. All of the AIM-9P-3s that I saw had "P-3" stenciled between the guidance fins, like this live missile I photographed. Even the CAP-9P trainers had that.
