Went to the #HandsOff protest in Philadelphia today. It was extremely packed1 I've been itching to do something for a while now so it's been so nice to finally feel like I'm a part of something!

Protesters gathered at the lawn in front of the Independence Community Center in Philadelphia. Many are holding signs, including one that has a penguin plush on it. Protestors marching along Market Street for the Hands Off protests. Many are holding signs such as "Hands off everything good our country STANDS FOR!" and "We refuse to make America Hate Again". More protesters gathered in front of City Hall, Philadelphia. Many of them are holding up "Hands Off" signs and are looking towards the main coordinator in the far end. This is my New 3DS XL. Love this thing. I replaced the Circle Pad on this bad boy too; however, in doing servicing, I noticed that the battery had started to swell in it! So, it's currently out with no battery.

Replacement battery incoming on Tuesday.

It definitely needed cleaning (which I did. Don't worry). It features the motherboard (and daughterboard), the game cart, the camera, the Circle Pad, and the processor. The ribbon cable for one set of the shoulder buttons is disconnected (I did reconnect them when putting them back together).

Friend gave me a 2DS after mine was stolen. Circle Pad has been trashed for a long time. I finally took it apart and replaced it myself yesterday! I feel so proud.

An old and worn Circle Pad for the Nintendo 2DS. It's definitely seen better days. The insides of a 2DS, featuring the SD card reader, the game card reader, the circle pad base, and the volume rocker. Did you know that the battery of the 2DS and 3DS are being used in the Pro Controller of the Nintendo Switch? So, it should be easier to get replacement batteries for them, though you don't need to go this far deep to replace the battery. A 2DS after it has been lightly cleaned and the Circle Pad has been replaced. It's ready to play Pokémon Sun again!

I genuinely don't remember where I got this DS Lite but I've had it for a while. I replaced the battery on it because you never know what could happen (and I like DS and GBA games).

Please check on your Lithium-Ion Batteries and service/replace them if you can every few years!
A Nintendo DS Lite with the battery cover off. On the mat, there are two batteries that are compatible with it. There's also the back cover in the shot as well. Please replace your Lithium-Ion Batteries every once in a while for devices that you can replace to maintain safety and further longevity of your device.

I got a refurbished Thinkpad P1 Gen 3 from work to use as a personal computer. This thing is really cool for programming and intensive tasks, so I took it apart and installed a second 1TB NVME drive so I can dualboot Windows and Linux Mint on there (best of both worlds). Highly recommended btw.

Recently got my hands on my friend's old PS2 that they didn't want anymore, as well as the PS3 that I gave them. The PS2 disc wasn't reading PS2 games (and my PS3 can only play PS1 and PS3 games) so I had to service it by thoroughly cleaning the disc reader on it. God I miss that generation of games

I'm supposed to be preparing to go back to my hometown in 2 days, but here I am building a new keyboard for the first time. No soldering -- the board is hotswappable -- but the keyboard is really cool and fun to build and use!

I haven't finished playing @beastieball.bsky.social (though I do plan to recommend it when I'm done) but seeing the TWO negative reviews out of 200 positive ones be about the fact that you can pick your pronouns in the game prompted me to make this meme. (Do play Beastieball btw <3)

Just finished canvassing and door knocking for the WA-03 House race. It was so fun to meet the local House Representative, walk around an unfamiliar city, and meet all sorts of people where they are.

Definitely recommend doing stuff like this for on-the-ground work!

Decided on a tech project this weekend. Trying to lower how reliant I am on Windows so I upgraded the SSD on both my ROG Ally and my computer and dual-booted Linux + Windows on both.

This definitely was a lot of work that had to get done, but it was so much fun to do. 10/10 recommend for techies.
An ROG ally whose back was opened for SSD replacement. An ROG Ally with Bazzite (Linux) loaded. A computer that's been partially dismantled on the floor. A USB is plugged in and there are screwdrivers on the floor. An ROG Ally and a computer both with Bazzite loaded.
