Perhaps "most" is extreme, but I've talked to people who can't grasp the idea that people have "freedom" in other countries. A willful ignorance about other places.

The same about their perception of the US. Most Americans think that the US is the best country, and they never learn anything outside of that. They live in the Truman show and the rest of us are watching.
