Freedom and bliss for them and me yesterday. We have to drive an hour away from home (nearly half that time is due to a chronic traffic jam nearby) for this, but it is always so worth it. No kids on scooters, loud motorcycles or sports cars or poorly handled dogs around. Just forest and friends.

Behold! In between seasons dog walks have begun. In Montreal, this means 4 ft of snow melting in the rain. This entails two coats and two pairs of gloves a day for me, waxed cotton rain coats for the dogs and several towels on hand at all times for wiping wet paws. #fitzwilliamdarcythegolden

Sunny, blustery walk with Skye and Darcy today followed by my weekly grocery shop at Atwater market. I asked the fishmongers if they had more customers since the tariff mess. He replied there hadn't been more customers, but that customers were asking for local produce and nixing US seafood. #local
