Both of these photos are of the Orion Nebula. The first one being very early in in my Astrophotography career on an old DSLR and winging it, and the second was after many nights of lost sleep and two years later, shot with better knowledge and better gear 😆 I’d like to say I’ve learned a bit since!

Shot in Yellowstone National park, I managed to get a few bison crossing a river ❤️ got so lucky to be there as they decided to take the swim.
As many bison are in the park, I never get tired of seeing them 😁

Visited Yellowstone National park not terribly long ago and got to spend some time watching these two osprey take turns fishing the river in between building their nest with bits of pine tree. A lovely time all around.
Definitely took a minute to get this photo 😄 got distracted just watching!
A brown and white Osprey approaching on the upper right side of a nest made of sticks to greet their slightly surprised looking mate, their wings splayed outward and upward to allow them to drift downward gently into the nest for a light landing and warm welcome.

also probably the muddiest I’ve ever been for photography. Laid on the nasty gunk mud shoreline for half an hour waiting for birds to walk closer 😂

The Elephant Trunk nebula, all done on a monochrome camera and narrowband filters for SHO Hubble style for colorization to show differentiation between gasses
This is about 12 hours of integration time if I recall 🙏
