as I approach the "end" of a development cycle, it just seems to drag on, ya know? It feels so close but all the final touches turn into a thousand little things. At the beginning there's so much creation and the main engines start working. Polishing tho... lots of effort 😅

fade transitions are in between scenes :D
a little trouble with flickering, but solved it with an autoload at the beginning with #godot
the game feels like, fully 50% more professional now

controller input is up and running! little glow orb as a placeholder for now but it's cute enough. it bobs lol. just needed a cursor to denote focus position. cursor adjusts for 15-card scenarios.

tiny update, worked on the main menu today. it's serviceable, but will probably do a big redesign at some point.

lots of progress! after implementing the solution algorithm, i coded up the game to deal additional cards under a "no solution" condition! and then the remaining cards fill in the main table layout once a match is made.

i switched how i was loading in textures and it's so much better now! I just have a tiny amount of pngs now that are loaded on top of the base card. number and color are procedurally determined.
