Oh…thanks! I’ve seen The Thing and Prince of Darkness and somehow never completed the trilogy.

Forgive me but what film is this creepy kid riding through here?

Franck your beard is giving some serious Kubrick vibes, nice work. Looking forward to Two Birds With One Stone!

Fortunately Carlos and Jannik are so young that this will likely happen several more times over the next fifteen or so years. One of the great clutch mental comebacks from Carlos here too; my body would obviously break down, but so too would my belief in myself. Godlike stuff.

Care to elaborate on how the Internet has been ruined? I fully agree, I just don’t know how to articulate it.

Wow, Under The Skin…that film lived up to its name for several years after I saw it, what a unique thing it was!

Just discovered this site about a week ago; it organizes Bach’s cantatas by the liturgical calendar date for which they were written. Very fun to sync up the music (which I love) to the church (which I don’t, but figure it can only deepen my appreciation for both):

I’ll try to keep an open mind, but as you can tell from our current regime here…unfortunately doom and gloom is my prevailing mood :(

Thanks for your in-depth responses Franck. Sounds like we agree on the need for regulation (which I fear won’t happen here in the US), and on a desire for artists to be able to make a living. I worry that the wrong folks will profit, at the expense of the environment and the artist class.
March 16, 2025 at 4:52 PM
I understand your point, but Shakespeare borrowing from Plutarch’s “Lives” didn’t harm the environment. AI is mass plagiarism that doesn’t employ any artists. Do you want a computer to regurgitate your amazing TP books and give the profit to people who haven’t done any of the research you have?

Would a Trump guy know or care about corporate poisoning of food and water supplies? If he were a Trumper he’d seek a way to profit from the destruction of planet Earth.
