The real shame is the loss of the brains behind the NCAs and other assessments: the Global Change Information System. This time argues for resurrecting the GCIS into the global knowledge commons (e.g., Wikidata), outside the control of any government, corporation, or oligarch.
*SIGH*...apparently the NCA5 website will not be archived by NOAA. But you can still easily access the PDF of the report from the NOAA Library. It's also linked in the NCA Atlas on an Esri server nca-atlas-nationalclimate.hub.arcgis.com

All our ecosystem relatives need the ethos shift toward indigenous values and norms of stewardship not stakeholder mindset. “Conservation wasn’t just about boundaries — it was about relationships and reciprocity.” Get those right as a foundation, and we can still turn this around.
