I assume Lulu conflated Julie Christie in Billy Liar with Geraldine Chaplin in Doctor Zhivago. Both movies came out a few years before the white fur bridal bonnet trend.

Lulu said that all those late 1960s winter brides were inspired by Julie Christie in Doctor Zhivago. They may have been inspired by Doctor Zhivago but it was Geraldine Chaplin who wore the white fur bonnet aka THE best costume in the film.

Oh yay! That was something to discover those photos were taken so close to Stigwood's Mayfair address. So glad he wasn't bored because it really is interesting!

Yes. Definitely could be. I thought it was a bomber jacket. Will look for a long jacket. I still think Oct 9/10, 1987 Miami regardless. And given the separate photo of Barry is identical, I still say it's a collage. Unless someone made the photo of Barry by stripping away the other two? Could be.

Unfortunately, 99% of the endless Andy Williams show tapes are under major lockdown for licensing. Bee Gees sang Lonely Days and Man for All Seasons on the show and I have never seen it.

We have no way of knowing but I am going to cross my fingers that he had many pairs of those same jeans. I don't think he ever wore anything else for press. And then always with the beret and most of the time with the jacket and a few times the white tie.

Yes. And the background of the Barry photo was not cut closely enough so it overlaps onto the Maurice photo.
Maybe their shirts were artificially made to be the exact same color as that was the only way to blend the photo without a software? I have no idea...

am i the last Bee Gees fan to notice the photo of the 3 of them is photoshopped? or the 1987 version of photoshop? you could be right the photo of Barry was taken at that show. Thanks I just need to add the word "live." Then they went on to Milan. The episode of TOTP that aired on Oct 1 I believe was taped the day before or after Wogan on Sept 18. They needed to get something on tape for TOTP before they left as Milan Oct 1 was also live.

It's a favorite of the woman who runs the fb australia fan site. or at least it was. I just realized how mid 1987 it is. I always assumed later because it was used in later years. I feel like they did this⬇️ photo shoot and someone told Barry to get a tighter shirt. So he did.

Wow. I have no idea what this is. My guess is a morning show in Miami in October but... that seems not right. I remember you found this Club Nu photo at the old place. But this isn't a Club Nu set. I don't think. In your photo Barry's hair is not neatly in the swoop he usually wore for press.

I think WB used Andy Earl Castlerigg photos for early press kits. So end of summer in UK for that? And then they did another photo shoot for updated promotional material in Miami in October. October in Miami is a recurring theme...

I discovered that this photo that I always thought was the late 1990s was maybe the same time as or just a bit after the one you posted. This is Bravo Magazine Dec 12 1987.. And it looks to me like part of this photo shoot. Same day. Maybe Miami. October, 1987
