Also, there is a great deal of artistry and storytelling in erotic dancing! The dancers I'm learning from and admire put a LOT of thought into their movements and how to hold the attention of an audience!

Also, personally, I dislike the sportification of pole and strongly oppose it being in the Olympics.
Mainstream sport is essentially closed off to me and I don't want my safe refuge in hands of people who will then bar me from it!

Pole was invented by strippers and every dancer who uses a pole does so because strippers went there first. The pole tricks used in comps etc were invented by strippers!
