I'm groggy, but at first glance my brain literally thought this pic was a take on this meme.

This reminds me of how my friends and I in suburban Tennessee were listening to Nirvana's Bleach, a year or so before Nevermind came out, but only because we had one friend who read the music zines and turned us on to it. I just checked and...1989!

Is this a nuance of the gig worker issue that I don't get? Like, rideshare drivers want a lower wage because they think they will make more money through ancillary effects or something?

This is why, when I see the phrase "purity test" in relation to people's rights I just think you're a bigot. Just be honest and say, "I will sacrifice marginalized people for my own safety". (Also, this strategy will never work for you. There's a whole poem about it.)

Did anybody else have a good time at the No Kings march? Thought I'd share a fun pic I took.

Nevermind. The whole posts timeline of this account is pictures of cute animals and the replies are like this. I've been wasting so much time engaging with these trolls or bots or whatever they are. It really sucks. Anyway, I recommend block and move on.

Definitely take this guy's advice on social media strategy.

This asymmetry in my timeline. This is the most ridiculous and obvious bullshit, but the very serious people just can't or won't address it.

Interesting. No posts about the wrongful arrest of Rep. LaMonica McIver for lawfully trying to inspect an ICE detention facility. Oh well, maybe if she was an anti-trans TV writer from another country.

I started Duolingo right before lockdown and managed keep going for over 5 years. But now it's been AI-ified, and also it really does teach you to be good at Duolingo rather than to be fluent in the language. I'm moving to Mango Languages (free through my library) and listening to news/podcasts.

His whole argument that the left decided getting covid is ok if you are marching against racism ignores one kind of important piece of the story. Can you spot the flaw in his argument in this picture?

Tried to look up what "Glonzo" was. I don't *think* this is it?

I had an amazing view of one of my favorite drummers, Lauren Hammel of Tropical Fuck Storm. She is a monster on the drums, throwing her whole body into them. Literally saw her punch the floor tom with her fist! They are Aussies on tour in the US. Check em out if you get the chance!

If you see this, quote post with a robot that isn't from Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr. Who or Transformers.

As I'm reading this, I can't help but think of earlier today when the Dem establshment announced that their number one enemy is the ACLU. We are doomed.

Everyone knows Andy is a shithead, but sometimes it's good to remember how much of a shithead he is.

He updated it. From "alleged" to "journalists have reported" for the cops. Still no "alleged" for the protesters. So, they revisited this and still can't build a parallel construction for cops and protestors. This is just the media culture. You are not allowed to report honestly around policing.

Someone alert this guy that Norwegian flags are regularly waved in Seattle. I'm sure he's equally as concerned about this as he is about Mexican flags in LA.
