Visited the Blue Huron Rookery on the Mississippi just north of downtown Minneapolis. There’s about a dozen nests, and the eggs hatched about two weeks ago. It looks like a Great Egret is trying to move in too.
I feel so lucky this is practically in my backyard.

Lilacs are in bloom and they smell heavenly.

First and probably the only tulip in my garden this year. (Thanks to squirrels and bunnies)

Beautiful fall days, but still warm enough to go out on the lake.

Captured this serene moment during last night’s paddle. This was after saving my paddleboard from an adventurous windy trip earlier in the day that blew us to the other side of the lake. I made the rookie mistake of not checking the weather before going out on the lake.
