The universe is the oddest of things. Seemingly out of nowhere today I realised that having deleted my Twitter account, I lost touch with a friend and wondered if I could find him on other socials. I couldn’t. But I just found out that his mother passed today.

I have just finished the story mode, no sidequest playthrough of 'Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden' and I can't speak highly enough of it. What a really, really good game that is. Now I get to play it through again and make some *other* choices and presumably get to see a different ending.

And so GBBO closes out for another year. It was the first year I’ve watched it uninterrupted because me dad would always ring every Tuesday, at 8.35pm on the dot because he knew it’d drive me crazy.

Game 6 of the World Series tonight. I’m on tenterhooks waiting to see how Barger’s hair behaves. It may have peaked in Game 5, but I’m willing to take the risk of watching to see.

Today’s ‘about writing’ question I’ve had about ‘Thunder’s Edge: Echoes of Memory’.
What was the hardest thing about writing this novel?
Honestly? Having to write it in American English and thus spending the whole book worrying about extraneous instances of the letter ‘u’.
