I wonder if we (people) already understood the meaning of life, but we forgot it when we were abused and manipulated into living for wrong reasons.

Calling people "good" or "bad" is limiting. You won't see when your "bad person" experiences growth and change, and you will accept lies as truth from your "good person". Boundary setting will keep you safer than labeling people based on fleeting examples of their behavior.
