DePodesta has the brain to make baseball at altitude work. I think he's going to have to challenge a lot of his preconceived notions to get there.

It's really just a matter of effort and attitude for him. In previous Rockies front offices, it was that and more which made it impossible.

Between the two I'd prefer Veen because I'm not sure the Rockies are the team to fix the holes in Yanquiel's swing.

Veen has them too, but at the very least he provides more value outside the bat to not rely on it. Fernandez is arguably a DH, Veen is arguably a CF.

Or I guess if Moniak regresses in 2026 we may DFA him but I don't think that changes my take he's less likely to be traded
