I read this at about the same age, and I’ll never forget how strongly attached I felt to the characters. I remember crying all throughout the end of the book. A very important book in my early reading days (though can only imagine how problematic now if I revisited).

Two other folks I follow, Lyz Lenz and Anne Helen Peterson, recently moved to Patreon. It sounds like they’ve enhanced their services quite a bit, including better tech support for users….and less Nazis!
