I played it again during Covid, when I was about 18-19, and it felt like an entirely new experience. Obviously everything was still the same, but learning so much about the world and myself in that short time. There was evident parallels I could draw, things that people have pointed out ad nauseam

Genuine, but it feels slightly misplaced looking back. Sure, I could understand and grasp concepts it was laying out for me, come to my own conclusions and such, but I think my world view was too narrow (and frankly naive) to really appreciate it what was in front of me

The beauty of this game to me is how my perspective on it changes every time I play it. I originally played it due to wanting to play other Suda51 games after No More Heroes when I was 16, and I think I just told myself “I understand this” to make myself feel smarter than I was. My enjoyment was
