Yes and it proved 2 valuable social lessons, that to recover from disaster(at least the financial kind) it pays dividends to go big.
2) If you give money to people who need it they spend it. Which is good for the economy. Rich people just put it away.

It's all about the data, general AI, the ultimate goal, is a calculus based question asking machine. With enough data and processing power, it asks the right questions, it's sentient.
