Blaze is warm to the touch, but not burning hot.

Facts:

Blaze is a distant cousin of Astro.

Despite being a sun, the summer currency is beachballs.

He is very headstrong, making the most of any situation, not letting any hardship get him down. The deterioration of his vision was just something else to work around.

He encourages other Toons to persevere through anything, to challenge their limits, though he sometimes pushes Toons too hard.

Blaze was made to encourage kids to be more athletic, soak up the sun more, & to make the most of summer.

For Blaze’s active ability, he throws his beach ball in a direction, & whatever it hits will be briefly highlighted to him. (Walls, Twisted, Machines, Items, etc.) Each consecutive hit gives 5 Ichor. And, if you hit a Twisted, they’ll be stunned in place.

If you stop, the cooldown is 10 seconds.

You know when after you look straight into a bright light, you get this blurry blob in your vision for a couple seconds? Blaze experiences that 24/7, along with a black spot in the middle of his vision. (solar retinopathy) That’s what your surroundings will look like playing him. It’s his passive.

Due to an unintended defect in his physiology, he’s effectively blind. (Which wasn’t the case in the cartoon.)
This affects gameplay.
