We dropped into Wild Blue Restaurant for the first time and stoked to finally see in person one of @paulmorrisonphoto.bsky.social ‘s classics featuring me from the late 80’s. Honoured to be alongside an illustrious lineup of other long time Whistler icons.

Visited an old friend on a bike ride is Whistler. I owe the world to Murr. I actually got all choked up dropping by for the first time in 30 years. Sumo used to take us out in his convertible Cadillac with bullhorns to visit during summer camp. Two of my favourites on the “all dead ski team”

@districtofoakbay.bsky.social - another abject failure in civic duty of the leadership of Oak Bay to advance implementation for an approved cycling network infrastructure. Decades of delays due to reviews obstruction by Councillors Green, Braithwaite and Patterson & deciding vote of Mayor Kevin

June of 2020, Covid 19 gave us a chance to rethink our lives and we took a random trip to see if life on Vancouver island was a viable option. We literally both the first house we looked (top left of photo is our house). 5yrs now & we still feel like we won the lottery. Gonzales Bay by Doug Clement

Canada’s 60th anniversary of the maple leaf flag 🇨🇦 is February 15th. We loaded up a few dozen flags to help the Oak Bay Rotary club get them flying through town to celebrate! Feeling more Canadian than ever these days and I think we are all finally taking back our flag! O’Canada 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

An amazing display of alpine scenery in mid winter perfection this weekend at Whistler. Our 14 1/2 year old Pica Dog was still charging on the dog loop at Whistler Olympic Park. And saw one serious ice bath too!!

The Salish Sea put on a dramatic Christmas display with a the biggest So. Easter of the year blowing through. Only two brave souls ventured out on the lee side of Clover Point where it was lining up like a left hand point break. Merry Christmas to all swerving on dirt, snow and ocean!! 🎅🎅🎅

A unique view of Koma Kulshan - the great white watcher (Mt Baker) - taken from the Esquimalt Lagoon near Royal Roads while out for a 50km winter ride. Then made it home for the best sunset in a month. #yyjbike.

Photos from the same day 14-years apart and the amazing @picadog is still sitting pretty. 8km walk to start today with some good deer and kitty cat action. Hope our amazing noble “Cascadian Husky” (we had to make up a breed as we get asked every day) keeps defying her age for a few more years! 🐕
