I was born about 5 years after the end of WWII. I had babysitters whose family sent them out of Germany, then their entire family was murdered by fascists. Now we have fascists running our country. Blueskyers are a great team to join.
A time of transition. We go from giving thanks for our bountiful harvest to celebrating hope in the times of darkness.

Can you believe this is at a mini-golf course? We were there with my daughter and grandkids during the summer. The kids were mesmerized. Me, too.

These markings are on a silver pitcher and bowl my mother received as a wedding gift. Does anyone know what they mean?
From pitcher, then bowl.

We are dealing with strong currents that threaten to pull our democracy under, but we have strong democratic roots. They can't pull us off our rock!

I noticed that. It could be a grouper. I saw one while snorkeling at Scorton Shores. I found this pic online.

This cartoon appeared in the original Dennis the Menace book by Hank Ketcham (1952). Mom bought it for Dad soon after I was born. I had my Dennis moments, as many boys do. I could say the same thing he does in the cartoon.

Looks like a photography exhibit, but it's a dockside window.

These footprints confused me. They can't be convex, can they? Turns out the shadows caused by a low sun angle created optical illusions. Fooled my eyes as well as my camera. Or perhaps there are beach walkers in an adjoining dimension.

The first monarch I've seen in three years visited the milkweed I planted two years ago in hopes of getting them back here! Ahh, that's satisfyin'!

This predatory attack was occurring on one of my porch columns this morning. It's a perfect metaphor for the Trump administration's attack on America under the direction of their billionaire paymasters and others in the shadows government.

This little freeloader is lying on his belly eating my newly sprouted grass. I didn't even invite him for breakfast. The noive!
