Totally understandable, doing a major overhaul to another platform and having to rebuild a website is a pain in the butt. I’ll admit as well- square isn’t super friendly when it comes to portfolio building. Squarespace is separate and they are (super confusing I know 😭) so it will be an endeavor

I’m not sure if it’s worth considering but Squarespace??? They have a “pro” monthly option that’s roughly $30ish a month. People can sign up for your newsletter and marketing stuff. I use the $18 per month for just portfolio hosting and my domain. But when I did cons- the marketing was nice

That hat could not fit anyone or anything else so perfectly

The entirety of kingdom hearts lore is a cluster of insanity and I have given up questioning anything. I just sigh, and say “ok” and accept whatever comes with it. Even if it means remy can technically wield a keyblade

It might be worth reaching out to other “larger” artists for the issue. As artists with smaller followings, will obviously have a different experience. Because if they track it on “popularity potential” I’m curious as to if their domains got more expensive as time went on for popular branding

Idk if it’s worth changing it…? Just to avoid it. It seems like a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario

I think the common name really does screw ya over a bit. It makes sense WHY it’s so expensive. Not that it’s right by any means, but I guess it’s comparable to if someone owned “Tom” .com or .social in your case. Branding is huge for an artist and how we often advertise ourselves.
