The Canadian conservative movement has spent a decade spreading hate against the libs and promoting populist ideas. Now those ideas are turning up INSANE and they can't pivot. They're doubling down. It's not going well.

Shuttering the Fraser River Estuary Management Program (FREMP) was one of the Harper government's worst legacies IMO. Bringing it back would be a ready made solution.

Also, do we tend to discount the "snowball" effect of technological shifts, as well as future tech? Changes start slow but accelerate through society very quickly at a certain point (e.g., smartphones, ipod, etc.)

If demand does in fact level off or even start to decline, would the oil sands be the first to be switched off due to high costs? Or is there some other global supply that's even more expensive?

Unfortunately, Musk hasn't given a crap about Tesla for a while now. The eye-popping market cap is likely because it's one of the only ways to invest in "Elon Inc." at the retail level.
