As a Kansas resident who works in Ag, this is somewhat cathartic to read. These are things I’ve been saying for ages, and reading the same notions publicly from someone credible makes me feel a little less crazy.

I feel like my wife and I are the only blue voters in our godforsaken red rural state. I work in ag and am already seeing farmers failing so fast it makes their heads spin. Too many drought years and Trump/Musk will be the final nails in their coffins. I doubt anyone will ever admit they voted wrong

I work in agriculture in the Midwest and am hearing daily about farmers having to sell land to pay last year’s bills. If any government funding or welfare is cut or if crop insurance is compromised “as per Project 2025 suggests” these folks are boned. Miraculously they all still worship Trump though
