I love the texture, but it's the color that caught my eye. Like the simple textured "Amazing Grey" poppy I grew a couple of winters ago.

I bet so. Just mulch the base heavy. If you keep the soil from freezing shell come back strong. One parent is the native P. incarnata, hardy to zone 6.
