Poilievre should take a cue from provincial politician John Rustad, both are past their best before date. Rustad finally took himself off the shelf, PP should do the same. The federal Conservatives are not electable with him as leader.

No they do have their differences, which is why we alternate between them about every 8 to 12 years. It is a circle that’s for sure with the Greens and Dippers and the yet to elect anyone PPoC and the QC separatists always on the outside looking in, forever bridesmaids.

As the only realistic alternative to the current government, hard to imagine how the Conservatives could function without their leader having a security clearance.

Did not think it possible but the dysfunctional federal CPC and PPoC splintering looks almost calming compared to the current dumpster fires of the B.C. “right leaning” politicians.

Split vote surprised me, I tend to vote strategically. The NDP tent pretty much folded for the 2025 election, the writing was on the wall that their members would be crushed. Given that more than 45k votes went NDP/LIB and the Cons won with 31K, surprised there was 25K NDP votes.

Rustad will fight the inevitable as long as he can, the leader of the opposition is worth a 50% top up of his $120K basic MLA compensation. He will hold onto that $180K/$15K per month salary as long as he can…

I hear you, getting a fair and just form of representation is not easy. Personally, I don’t think the answer to any issue is more politicians.
The average American constituency is about 780K last I checked. Unfortunately fixing the House does nothing if the Senate stays as it is.

Great read. Interesting that in addition to the low paid line workers Ford has some 5000 mechanic openings they can’t fill at $120K per year.

The House is locked at 435 is it not? Representation is based on land, two Senators per state, and population of the country with each state getting at least one congressman and the rest assigned on each states population and average constituency. Maybe the senate needs similar rules as the house?
